Terms & Conditions for Online Purchases made at the Stoves & Chimneys website.

General: By placing an order, the buyer is accepting these terms & conditions of sale. These terms and conditions of sale take precedence over any contrary stipulations on the buyers purchase orders, general terms of sale or any other document issued by the buyer.

Retention of Title: Title of all goods supplied by Stoves & Chimneys will remain the property of Stoves & Chimneys until all sums due to Stoves & Chimneys by the customer have been paid in full to Stoves & Chimneys. without deduction or set-off.

Payment: Payment of goods must be made in full before dispatch. This is done using a credit or debit card using the Paypal or Stripe platforms which are imbedded into our website. Cash on delivery or credit is not permitted.

Online purchases: Our commitment to the customer

Stoves & Chimneys commits maintaining extremely low prices on its website in relation high street retail prices.

Delivery of purchases made online: Unless specifically stated on the order and duly accepted on a Stoves & Chimneys acknowledgement of the order, delivery dates in no case imply a firm undertaking to supply on a fixed date. Stoves & Chimneys reserve the right to make partial deliveries.

Someone must be available to receive and sign for the delivery in-person, at your designated address. Delivery will be made on a pallet/  pallets or boxes. If delivery is unsuccessful because of your absenteeism, you will be charged in full for the rescheduled delivery. We use the Pallet Network for all our palletised deliveries and GLS for boxed deliveries.

Damages and Discrepancies of Delivery:

On receipt of goods, stocks should be checked immediately, and any damages or discrepancies noted, Stoves & Chimneys must be notified with 24 hours otherwise we cannot rectify.

Right of Return / Refund:

You must contact us using the contact form on our website (this is found on the Contact Us page) in advance of returning the goods to us. Merchandise returns will not be accepted without our prior authorization in writing. Please include your telephone and order number when writing to us.

Up to 14 days after purchase: You have the right to return and get a full refund up to 14 days after your purchase, provided goods are in a saleable state and packaging is undamaged. Return cost must be borne by you.

Over 14 days after purchase:  Provided goods are in a saleable state and packaging is undamaged, Stoves & Chimneys will issue a credit note minus a restocking charge of 10% after verifying the quality and quantity of the returns. Cost of delivery of returns will be paid by the customer.

Third Party Liability: Stoves & Chimneys shall be under no liability in respect to any damage of loss to third parties caused directly or indirectly by the goods and the buyer shall at all times indemnify Stoves & Chimneys against any such loss or damage. Stoves & Chimneys will not be responsible for any consequential loss however occasioned.

Use of Goods: Goods shall at all times be installed, commissioned, used and maintained by the customer in accordance with the instructions of Stoves & Chimneys (whether by way of operators user manual or otherwise) and according to Local Building Regulations. Stoves & Chimneys shall have no liability or responsibility to the customer or third party for any loss or damage by reason of the customers failure to follow instructions or Local Building regulations and the customer indemnifies Stoves & Chimneys against any such loss. Any instructions given by Stoves & Chimneys or its employees or agents to the customer which are not in writing are followed or acted on entirely at the customers own risk and accordingly, Stoves & Chimneys will not be liable for any instruction not so confirmed in writing.

Conditional product warranty: All products supplied Stoves & Chimneys are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Defects and wear caused by normal wear and tear, accident, negligence, lack of proper maintenance, misuse of the product or by product alterations which have not been agreed to by Stoves & Chimneys  in writing are excluded from the warranty. Any product warranty supplied by Stoves & Chimneys  will be null and void, if the product has been subject to a chimney fire. Stoves & Chimneys liability is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the product supplied by us found to be defective by our technical department.

Warranties on specific product categories are as follows;

  • Chimney cowls – 1 year (with additional specific conditions per product).
  • 316 Flexible liner – 25 years
  • 904 Flexible liner – 35 years
  • Vitreous enamel – 10 years
  • Twin wall rigid flue – 10 years
  • Stoves & Inserts – as per the manufacturer instructions

We are registered under the Data Protection Act and comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data. Use and collection of personal information In general you can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. If, however, you use our site you may need to register and you will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact details. We will store this data and hold it on computer or otherwise. We may use information that you provide: (a)To register you with our website and to administer it. (b) For assessment and analysis e.g. marketing, customer and product analysis, to enable us to review, develop and improve our services.
